Jacob's Audio and Electronics Repair

Serving the greater Grand Rapids, Michigan area.  Jacob's Audio and Electronics Repair is your destination for guitar amp repair, bass amp repair, and vintage stereo repairs.  I service and repair both solid state amplifiers and tube amplifiers.  I am an Authorized Service Center for Marshall® and Peavey® amplifiers.

On occassion, I do make other electronics repairs (feel free to contact me to inquire about these other services). However, my specialty is amp repair. If you're looking to have your tube amp serviced, whether it be a full diagnostic, or a simple biasing, I have you covered. Maybe your solid state amp isn't outputting any sound, or your tube amplifier just doesn't hit as hard as it used to. Either way, let's get it on my bench and take a look.

I've been working in the electronics repair field for over 5 years, with experience in both analog and digital circuitry. Audio amp repair is where I got my start, but I have also designed a few products which are out in the world today.

Guitar amp repair is a passion of mine. I grew up in the Kentwood/Grand Rapids, Michigan area and I'm extremely proud to be able to give back to this amazing community of musicians and audio enthusiasts. Grand Rapids is home to so many talented people and it makes me incredibly happy to be a part of their lives by providing electronic repair services, such as tube biasing and effects pedal repair.

Below are some pictures of some of the amps I've been fortunate enough to get my hands in. I've worked on almost all major brands, including some vintage amps and custom builds. I like digging around in a circuit and repairing electronics. I like the smell of solder and flux. I like the smiles on my customer's faces when I've restored a guitar amp they feared was dead.
